The Drink:

A Drink for Violet Rose

The Recipe:

2 parts Welch's Grape Soda
1 part Ezra Brooks Bourbon

The History:

A Drink for Violet Rose was actually only discovered yesterday. The remnants (empty can and bottle) were found in a bathroom stall by an administrative assistant in San Francisco. It is assumed that the creator of this drink is a classy woman with a fondness for frilly, high-necked shirts paired with maxi skirts. She probably spends her days sexily fainting onto the divan at the St. Francis Hotel as dreamy men cross her path. It is guessed that her name is Violet Rose.

Why We Love It:

This drink is the essence of taste and sophistication. Never before has a flavor union been so successful at evoking the Victorian Era in such a subtle and tragic way. If this drink was a book, it would be Wuthering Heights. The color is like a pool of Heathcliff’s tears. The taste is like a grey day on the Yorkshire moors.  And after two dainty sips, your man will by transformed into a simpering, lovesick gypsy boy, powerless against your charms.

Cheers!
